Trying to roll over...

On July 1 and 2, Jack rolled over a total of 4 times, from tummy to back. Since then, nothing. Today he has been trying to roll from back to tummy and has made it to his side many times! Here is an example...

And another update: FOOD!!!

Jack had his first taste of cereal today! He probably only got about 10 calories down the hatch, but it was a successful first taste. He seemed to like it and understand that it was food. Lots of fun times here!

June Update

In June, Jack has changed so much. He is able to grasp and hold onto things and put them in his mouth, he squeals now, his facial expressions and noises have become even more expressive, he splashes in the bath tub, he is getting teeth, and much more! Here are a few shots from June-- the first is from the beginning of the month and the last is from this week. The middle one is already outdated-- when we got back from Florida, he was very happy to be reunited with his bouncy gym and moved around in it a ton, grabbing all of the toys. I will try to get a new video of that soon.

Havin' a good time

Jack is getting better and better at finding his hand and putting it in his mouth, though you can see here that he still misses and gets a little frustrated sometimes. He also smiles more now, but it is still a pretty exciting event... he might have a serious personality or maybe he is just a little late on the smiling front. You can also see him doing the bicycle a little. He was doing this all weekend in Athens-- holding his arms out like they are holding handlebars and bicycling his legs. Very cute.

Jack found his hands and grabbed a toy!

Jack has recently discovered that he can make his own hand go into his mouth and that it is fun to suck on! He has gotten even better at it since I took this video two days ago. He also has been pushing with his legs a lot and even once grabbed a toy and held on to it for a while. Every day is something new!

Jack can play!

Jack can swat at toys now and make happy sounds! He was 8 weeks to the day on Easter. Cute outfit, huh? Tell Mike it is blue, not purple!!

Fun times in FL

I was given a very nice baby shower in Gainesville this weekend and was so happy to see so many friends and family (even from Jacksonville, Mobile, and Miami!). You guys are the best!



Wow, I can't believe there are five more weeks of growth in store for this belly!
